The Chef
The Jewellery Maker
|
A highly skilled caregiver had to give up her job because of the heavy lifting and ongoing injuries. Fortunately she has other skills - she is an innovative jewellery maker selling her unique pieces at fairs, markets and via her Facebook page.
As she spent time applying for alternative work, she was able to put her energy into setting up a small boutique retail outlet selling her work and that of other craftspeople. The Angel Fund loan supported her to buy materials for a counter, paint and shop fittings. Because of her talent for reusing and up-cycling, she transformed her space into a truly inviting outlet and is able to operate the shop on her days off from her new work as a carer. |
The Cleaner
A women parenting alone was able to grow her small "Green" office and domestic cleaning business by purchasing an industrial vacuum cleaner and essential "Green" products. She is able to supplement her income on a part-time basis while her children are young with a goal of having it as a full time business when her children are older.

The Graduate
After graduating with her degree, a student gained a full time job but needed $500 to become registered in her professional association before she started work. With a large student overdraft, an interest free Angel Fund loan meant she could easily manage the $10 a week repayments and continue to pay down other debts too.
